An Important Message From Our Principal

Dear Parents:

There is a major decision to make in selecting a form of education for your child. Whether it be public, private, or home schooling, a choice is necessary to establish the foundation needed for future development. There must be consistent improvement made in a student's achievement process, therefore it is our desire, as it is yours, to maintain an atmosphere that will accomplish these goals.

We learn by experience, and for the past 30 years, The Palm Desert Learning Tree Center has provided extraordinary opportunities of solid academic fundamentals and activities to encourage social and moral respect. This also has inspired students to develop excellent emotional and physical behavioral skills that stimulate positive and intelligent decisions.

As a nation, we have become more focused on education by design. The Palm Desert Learning Tree Center continues to provide a significant model of a successful and effective school. Several public and private schools review our accomplishments annually to gauge their programs. There is a standard set in our educational development and it is identified within the following features found within this packet: leadership, teaching environment, curriculum, instruction, student environment, parent and community support, administrative vitality, and student performance on measures of achievement (national testing).

Our students will experience continued success as they deepen and improve their knowledge with a challenging and creative program which is optimized in both pace and content. It is well documented that our students go on to achieve a high range of proficiency as they continue on their educational path.

We are proud to acknowledge that in our campaign toward excellence, we are linked to the Terra Nova National (CAT 6), the newest edition of one of the most respected achievement tests available and in addition all public and parochial private schools throughout California are using this test. This test will provide an objective basis for evaluating educational programs and student achievement.
